Motuihe Vision

  • conservation education is core to the mission of the Motuihe Trust
  • the ability to host experiential laboratory style classroom activities associated with field trips will facilitate a comprehensive on-island education
  • the ability to support university level research projects will raise the profile of research on the island
  • an organised ERC complete with a specific monitoring resource and report writing facility will enhance the monitoring programme
  • the trust has also fostered links with a significant number of companies (Ricoh, ANZ, Fonterra) who have actively participated and sponsored the restoration project; corporate off-site events including conservation education and participation could be hosted within the ERC.
